"Texas Nights"
Six lanes
Taillights
Red ants marchin' into the night
They disappear to the left and right again
Another supper from a sack
A ninety-nine cent heart attack
I got a poundin' head and an achin' back
And the camel's buried in a big straw stack

Navasota is heaven on earth.
Here, there is no hustle and bustle of the big city.
You live to work and ride.
This piece of heaven sits about 20 minutes off of the freeway,
with a grand total of 6 stoplights in the entire town.
Some would say its hell,
But to the people of Navasota, it’s heaven.

I'm gonna live where the green grass grows
Watchin' my corn pop up in rows
Every night be tucked in close to you
Raise our kids where the good Lord's blessed
Point our rocking chairs towards the west
Plant our dreams where the peaceful river flows
Where the green grass grows

Nobody would want Navasota to change.
Everyone loves it here.
It’s quiet, and has that down-home country feel.
Some city folk even have houses here to escape the big city.
It is a paradise like no other.

Well I'm from a map dot
A stop sign on a black top
I caught the first bus I could hop from there
But all this glitter is gettin' dark
There's concrete growin' in the city park
I don't know who my neighbors are
And there's bars on the corners and bars on my heart

This town thrives on Rodeo and Football.
Football only because it is Texas.
But otherwise, Rodeo is the reason this little town is even on the map.
Some of the most famous rodeo stars call this town home,
Which draws hopefuls to train and live here.
This town truly is the rodeo man’s paradise.

So what part will you play in this quaint little Texas town?
Will you be a buckle bunny, seeking those bullriders,
A roughstock rider seeking the buckle,
A barrel racer, trying to get the fastest time,
Or, someone who doesn’t want anything to do with Rodeo at all?
Only time will tell, on those TEXAS NIGHTS.
