CALLED YOU UP GOT YOUR MACHINE i thought i saw you in my dream last night think i cried myself to sleep arm shafts of sunlight warmed the back of the bikini-clad girl that lay on the warm golden sand. The soft sound of the lake washing over the sand then back again soothing her. The slim femme form belonged to none other than Marissa Cooper. Anyone who knew her would stop and stare, rubbing their eyes to make sure it was really her. She had been gone for the last five years and not many people that she knew were still around but the few who were and had seen her in the last week that she had been back all seemed to stop dead and gawk at her. It seemed like not many people were at the lake when she got there so she was happy that the chances of her running into anyone she knew were slim to none. Though there was one person she did want to see. Her mind formed the picture of a dark blond-haired, blue eyed boy and she quickly opened her eyes, pushing the image from her mind. She did not need to be thinking of Cody Jones. As far as she knew he wasn't even in Navasota anymore. And even if he was she doubted he remembered her.
She let out a sigh and propped herself up on her elbows, running one hand through her golden locks. Her beautiful hazel eyes stared out over the large expanse of water. She let her mind drift over that morning when she woke up. She had dreamed of Cody, which she had been doing pretty often since she had decided to move back to Texas, even before she had actually moved. She had pulled out an old yearbook and flipped through it until she found where Cody had signed his name and number, leaving her the message to call him sometime. That was back when she had still lived here but he might still have the same cell phone number, she still did. She grabbed her cell phone from the nightstand beside her and dialed the number. It rang a few times then went to voice mail " you've reached cody - drop me a message " she sighed and flipped her phone closed, not bothering to leave him a message. Well he still had the same phone number but that didn't tell her whether he was still here or not. She wondered what he would do when he saw her number on his missed calls, or if he would even remember it was her number. Then again he might still have her number in his phone so it would show up as her calling. She struggled to push him from her mind and find something to do for that day. She glanced around her room, everything was already unpacked so she didn't need to do that. Her mind wandered over her favorite places to hang out and thought of the lake. That always used to be her favorite place. Well, besides Co- she cut the thought off right there and got out of her bed. She didn't need to think about him anymore. She walked over to her closet and rummaged around the jeans and t shirts laying around, finding her favorite bikini she changed out of her pajama's and into her swimsuit, pulling a pair of cut-off jean shorts on over her bottoms. She grabbed a pair of flip-flops and walked out of her room, grabbing her keys off the nightstand before she walked out. " I'm going to the lake! Be back later! " she called through the house, knowing her brother was somewhere there and would here her. "Alright, see ya later then." she heard his deep voice call back. She walked out to her black Toyota Tundra and got in, cranking it up and driving down the mile long dirt drive.
She was at the lake in a matter of minuets and after she parked her truck and walked down to the sand she saw very few people there. She removed her shorts and went down to the edge of the water, very close but far enough away not to get wet, and layed down on the warm sand. Which brought us back to where we started, her sitting up looking out over the water, trying not to think about he-who-shall-remain-nameless and not really doing a very good job at it. She was so absorbed in her thoughts she didn't notice anything around her, not the few high school kids hanging out a little ways down the beach, not the toddler screaming with glee as the cold water washed over his feet, nothing.[/blockquote][/blockquote][/blockquote] i thought about you had to weep seems the world was very mean that's right AND I WANNA SEE, WHAT HAPPENED TO YOU AND ME this temple was made by xWHOA of caution 2.0

i hear your name in certain circles and it always makes me smile i spent my time just thinkin about you and its almost driving me wildbut it's my heart that's begging down this long distance line tonightand i aint missing you at all. since you been gone, away. i aint missing you - no matter what, i say. a sure place that you could find cody jones on a saturday morning was in his bed .. sleeping off the night before. sure, you could definitely find him in the same situation on days other than saturday.. but the weekends were nights made for all of the partying. during the week, he would sometimes go out and get a drink or two - but the weekend was the time for all of the real parties to take place. so of course, this saturday morning was no exception. at eleven thirty in the morning, cody was still found passed out in his bed. at least, he was until the sound of his phone ringing began to awake him from the deep sleep he had been in. damn it. why did he always leave that thing by his head? cursing under his breath, his long arm shot out from under the thick comforters and felt around the table beside his bed for the stupid piece of technology that had woken him up. after feeling it under his finger tips, he rolled over onto his back and took his face out of his pillow. he grabbed his phone and flipped it open, letting his eyes adjust so he could focus on the screen. when he saw the number that was displayed as the missed call - the one who woke him up, his heart dropped. that couldn't be who he thought it was.
but it was. and as much as he didn't want to admit it to himself - he knew it good and well. marissa cooper was calling him.. there was no doubt in his mind of that. even though he had deleted her from his contacts on his phone ( not to mention every other type of communication ) he still remembered her number .. off by heart. and apparently, she still knew his. sighing as he rolled his eyes, he tossed his phone off to the side. he was done with her, done waiting for her to come home, done letting her hold his heart and done letting her get him down. he had been done with her for the longest time, she had no right to call him now - especially not now! now, cody had danielle .. no, they weren't dating. yes, they were just hooking up.. but he thought that he mabye did have feelings for her. then, there was raleigh .. and while their relationship was .. interesting - to say the least, she was still someone he could picture himself with .. possibly. he had two wonderful girls to choose from.. marissa had no right to come back into his life - not now. but apparently, she was.
sighing, cody threw the blankets back off of his bed and got up to go face the day .. no better time than now to start since he knew he wouldn't be able to go back to sleep with that girl on his mind. he walked slowly into his bathroom and grabbed two extra strength tylenol from the medicine cabinet above the sink. grabbing a glass of water, he swallowed and then jumped in the shower. after spending a good twenty minutes allowing the cold water to run over his body, he grabbed the white towel from outside the shower and wrapped it around his waist. stepping out of the bathroom and back into his room, he walked over to his closet and pulled out a clean pair of jeans along with a plain white t-shirt. he pulled on the garments and grabbed his cell phone, along with his aviator sunglasses off the small table beside his bed and was out the door. as he got in his car and began to drive to the beach, he turned up the radio, trying to clear his mind of all his previous thoughts. thats why he was doing this, thats why he was going for a relaxing walk on the beach - to clear his head.
though upon arriving and walking through the sand he did just the opposite of that.. as soon as he seen that familiar blonde girl laying on the beach in nothing about the bikini. just his luck. he was pissed off, no denying of that. but at the same time, he couldn't help but be happy to see her. swallowing, he strode over to the figure laying on the beach and stood looking over her. "so, five years is a damn long time for no phone call after skipping town." he slid the aviators off of his head and slipped them onto the front of his shirt as they had been before he got driving. "not once did i get a phone call from you when you were gone. but now, all of a sudden you're back and calling? i guess we're just working around whatever's convenient for you then, right?" mabye he was being a bit harsh on her for their first meeting in years.. but he was pissed off - and he wasn't going to hide that from her.
