She's hooked on a feelin' Addicted to a natural high Don't know why it's appealin' All she knows is she's got to ride
Taylor stood at the edge of one of the holding pens. Her eyes trained on the horses nevously milling around in it. She would soon be mounted on one of the animals and in for a fun ride, at least she hoped it would be fun. It had been a while since she had ridden a bucking horse, not really anywhere to do that when you're in the middle of the city. She watched of one of the horses got too close to another and got a warning bite, squealing and shoving through the other horses to get away from its attacker.
She's addicted to danger Ruled by passion and pride To pain and fear she's no stranger But her lust needs to satisfied Hooked on an eight second ride
Tay was completely focas on the animals in front of her. All the noises around her and the movement of people getting ready for other events was pushed out of her mind and being ignored. The voice of the annoucer blared over the loud speaker telling everyone the last bull riders time, the only reason Taylor even heard that was because the loud speaker was right above her and too loud to ignore. The guy had actually made it eight seconds, something most of the guys couldn't do. Taylor glanced at the watch that was on her wrist. She had about five minuets before she would be mounting up. She hopped down off the fence and leaned against it, going to sit there a couple minuets longer before she walked to where she would need to be to ride. Her focus was completely on the horses, not anyone behind her or around her.
Gettin' up down in back of the chutes Makes that rosin burn She's got his spurs on the heels of her boots She's at the point of no return Climbing over that chute gate she settles down inside The tension's risin' but she can't wait Until they turn that horse outside

&& JR pulled his gear bag out of the back seat of his truck, and slammed the door. He flashed his pass to the security man, and started to walk inside the arena. He went to his designated locker room, and flung his bag into an empty cubby. It wasn't too long until bull riding, so JR figured he might as well go ahead and get his chaps and vest on. He pulled the items carefully out of his bag, and and strapped the chaps around his waist, before bending over to clip them around his thighs. He exchanged his ostrich boots for his rough out riding boots, and put his spurs on. He then proceeded to get his helmet and vest out of the bag, donning the latter.
When JR was done getting ready for the dance he was about to perform, he walked out towards the arena. As he strted to come up behind the chutes, he saw a familiar face had hadn't seen there in a long time. Taylor Brooks. She was back to ride the broncs. He walked over to her with a flashy smile. "Well if it ain't TB. I guess I'm pulling your rope for you like always?"

Taylor was so focused on the horses in front of her that she didn't hear someone come up behind her. It wasn't until a fimilar voice reached her that she spun around to find herself face to face with someone she haden't seen in a while. A smile spead across her face in response to JR's grin. "Hey JR. I guess you are." she said as she leaned back against the railing. It wasn't any suprise that she hadn't seen JR in a while, she had just moved back to Texas a couple months ago and this was the first time she'd been back to the chutes since then. She had already met up with most the people she knew but this was the first time she's seen JR so it was good to see him again.
She ran a hand through her chestnut brown hair, pushing it away from her face. "So what have you been up to since I haven't been here to keep you outta trouble?" she said, laughing, her smile teasing. She couldn't help but tease him, it was something she always did, but she really did want to know what he'd been up to while she was gone.

&& JR smiled and watched as Taylor flicked her hair to one side. He thought about the answer to her question about what he'd been up to lately. He finally found it after thinking for a minute. "well, not too much. I've only been back for two weeks, and i've been busy getting my rnach all sorted out. And..I've been hanging out with Mel. But don't tell anyone. Charlie the arse face will get mad if he finds out." JR knew good and well that he shouldn't say anything at all about him and Melissa hanging out and taking Ally riding, but honestly. That's really what he had been up to the pass few weeks, and he wasn't gonna lie to Taylor. She was like his sister.
As they started to call for Bronc Riding, he looked at Taylor nervously. Since he was like her brother, it was nerveracking for her to be getting on one of those bucking horses. The last thing he wanted was for Taylor to get hurt. And the worst part was, he would be the one putting the rigging on the horse, and if that did happen, JR wouldn't want to play a part in the demise of Taylor Brooks.
--- haha, bad bad bad post. it was short and horribly written. im tired, and its like 1 in the morning, so bare with me.

Her smile quickly changed to a frown as JR told her what he had been doing lately. It was never good news when he and Mel got around eachother. But she knew that JR loved her and that he couldn't help it when he was around her. "Don't worry. I'm not stupid enough to tell anyone. I would hate to get Charlie mad." she said, making a face when she said Charlie's name. No one in the town really liked him and Tay couldn't see why Mel would marry a guy like him. She just wanted JR to be happy, but she doubted he would be unless he was with Mel. She let out a small sigh, wishing that life really could be like a fairy tale and have happy endings. Then again, in fairty tales there were evil step-mothers and step-sisters, Taylor would know, she had an evil step-mother.
A jolt of excitment corsed through her when they called for bronc riding. She was one of the only girls doing it and she was also the first rider. She glanced up at JR and caught him looking at her nervously. She sighed and rolled her eyes, "This isn't the first time I've done this, you know." she said. But it was the first time in a pretty long while. She started having doubts about if she should really go through with this. She couldn't remember what it was like on the back of an animal that just wanted to scrape you off it's back and would do anything to do just that. She took a deep breath, hoping to keep her thoughts from showing on her face and in her eyes, but she knew that JR knew her better than most people and would be able to see even a tiny flicker of doubt. She just hoped that them being away from eachother for a while would make it harder for him to read her.

&& JR made a wincing face when Taylor frowned. He knew that hanging out with Mel wasn't good on him or her, but they couldn't stay away from each other. Hanging out with a married woman was not a good thing, and JR was sailing into some dangerous waters by doing so. "I know I shouldn't, but I love her, and its hard to stay away." JR looked at the ground as he said this. He felt like he was still abck in high school, like they picked back up where they left off. All of it was so surreal.
When Taylor said that she had done this before, and not to worry, JR just shook his head. "I'm always gonna worry Tay, your like my sister." JR smiled at her, as he walked up behind the chutes while Taylor clipped on her chaps and vest. He waited patiently for her to get up there, while they loaded her horse, and she finished getting ready. --- pfft, still kind of an icky post.

ADDICTED TO A NATURAL HIGH don't know why it's appealin' all she knows and is she's got to ride T aylor couldn't stand to see JR like this. She knew he was getting torn up inside, that he felt like his heart was being ripped right from his chest. She knew because she had felt like that when she was with her last boyfriend, or fiancé as she should say. She had caught him with another woman and yelled and screamed at him right there, telling him the wedding was off and throwing her ring at him. That's why she had moved back here to start with. JR's words brought her mind back to him. "I know I shouldn't, but I love her, and its hard to stay away." she nodded, her gaze sympathetic as she looked up at him. "I know JR. It'll all work out in the end." I hope. she silently added to her sentence. She really did hope everything worked out for JR, he was like a brother to her and it hurt her to see him like that.
She couldn't help but roll her eyes and grin at JR's worried words. "Since when do I need to be worried about anyways JR?" she asked him still grinning up at him. She started to get her chaps and vest on. Safety first when it came to something like this. She walked over to the shoots and settled down on the large, chestnut stallion that waited. It's body trembled just like Taylor's but it was a different trembling from hers. The horse trembled in fury, hating the human it felt on it's back and the rope tied around it's middle for her to hold onto. Taylor trembled in excitement, her adrenaline gland pushing the hormone through her body. She grabbed the rope in her hand and fixed it the right way before glancing at JR and nodding, showing she was ready for the chestnut to be turned loose.[/blockquote] climbing over that chute gate she settles down inside the tension's risin' but she can't wait UNTIL THEY TURN THAT HORSE OUTSIDE this temple was made by xWHOA of caution 2.0

&& JR swallowed hard as Taylor stepped over into the chute, and settles down on the back of the chestnut stallion. He watched her get her rigging straight, and get settled in before she glanced at him and then nodded at the gateman. He swallowed hard as the steed came out bucking. He was a pretty rank horse, and any guy would've been lucky to draw him. But it was a whole different story when Taylor drew him. She was a girl, and she was like his sister, and if anything happened to her, JR would be heartbroken.
He watched, counting off the seconds in his head as the horse bucked really rank down the arena. Taylor body was jerked around off the center of the horse with each jump, but she managed to stay put. JR finally took a breath when the whistle blew, and the pickup men were sandwiching the horse to get Taylor off. She clung to one of the pickup men, who ended up safely depositing her on the arena dirt. As soon as he saw Taylor safe, he let a smiled come to his lips, and he walked down the chutes stairs to congratulate Taylor when she walked through the exit gate. "That was pretty badass Taylor, I'm not gonna lie." He knew it had been a decent ride, but he didn't know exactly how good. But it didn't matter to him, he was proud that Taylor had just had the guts to do it.
